I've known Brian a long time. He started his thriving business with just a rake.There's many reasons why he has come so far and is so successful. That's because he's extremely intelligent, knows his products and is a very friendly guy. His ambition, passion and stride for perfection of his work are what drives his company. Recently purchased my 1st home and it needed siding repairs and a serious painting ( 30 years of different colored flaking paint). After trying to contact multiple contractors in the lakes region and being stood up multiple times, Brain responded timely. After searching for 3 years for a contractor who would actually show up, to paint and freshen up the house, we found Brian at Jalbert Contracting and are very pleased. Brian and Dana came and inspected. They pointed out areas that should be repaired prior to painting and followed up in a reasonable timely manner with reasonable pricing. The job was started and completed rather quickly despite weather issues. Staining decks and wood trim was offered at a good rate and within the job timeline. Cleanup was done daily. Once again Brian and his crew have come through for me. They just finished restoring the outside of our daughter's post and beam cedar sided home. They replaced all rotten or soft wood which was extensive, a great deal of work. Then they power washed, sanded, primed and stained the house. They brought the house back where it can be maintain properly. They also replaced the roof on her garage. They went above and beyond and we are once again we are very satisfied with the work they did, the time frame and the price. Looking to have them do some inside work this winter in our home. After climbing up and discovering the roof on the back of the house was in rougher shape than I knew (I thought I had a roof leak resulting from an ice dam, turned out I had a leak in a pipe in the ceiling), I gave Brian a call to get an estimate. He was great from start to finish! Not only was the price he gave me very fair and very competitive, he took my situation into consideration and was able to get everything turned around and done in two weeks to the day from initial site visit to pulling out of the yard having finished the roof. From his initial visit to evaluate the project right up until they were pulling out of the yard having completed the roof (in a day no less, which included shoveling and stripping off the original roof), he was in contact and provided regular updates on where things stood. Paperwork, single delivery, weather timeline, etc. He even sent photo updates throughout the day while they were working. I didn't ask him to, he took the time to do it of his own volition to keep me in the loop. There were no surprises at any point, and anything he said would happen, happened when he said it would. After the road postings put the kibosh on getting a dumpster in, he was even willing to eat the added cost of having to use a truck and trailer for disposal, all because he believes his quote is his word, and he holds to it. I knew it cost more, and I knew the price he gave me included him being able to work a deal on the dumpster, so I insisted on paying the difference. I believe in treating people fairly, and it's obvious Brian does as well. Brian and his crew were all professional and courteous every step of the way, they even offered to carry the groceries in for my wife when she parked on the street to leave them space to work around the truck and trailer they were using. Two of the guys on the roof kept playing out "Shave and a haircut, two bits" while laying the new shingles. My wife and daughter thought it was very entertaining. Wednesday evening after the torrential downpour I heard drip drip drip coming from my bathroom. Investigating the problem I noticed my ceiling had a 12" x 3" water stain. Thursday morning I called Brian. He came out immediately with crew, climbed onto my roof, found the leak and fixed it. When my truck broke down on the way up to see the property, Brian’s wife came to me with a gallon of antifreeze on the rd . We called Brian to replace our old roof two years ago and were amazed at how quickly he responded to us compared to other contractors. After a consultation where he went over all of our options, they were able to do the job in only one day within the week. Recently, my seller used him for her roof as well and Brian and his crew went above and beyond the roof replacement. The house needed quite a bit of work to make it look presentable and make the sale go more smoothly. In addition to the roof, they repaired rot on the trim, power washed, replaced the lead on the chimney, repaired broken windows, did some paint touch ups and did the badly needed landscaping. Jalbert Construction was able to take care of all the necessary repair work in just one day, which I know would have taken weeks or months if we had to call separate contractors to address these issues. The work done was top notch and seamless, and Brian kept me up to date on the work being done throughout the day.
